This collection includes extensive class notes, exams, and papers documenting Johnson's undergraduate study at Iowa State College between 1938 and 1942, documents of Extension short courses and continuing education attended between 1943 and 1948, as well as materials from his study at the Live Stock Marketing School in Chicago in 1941. Also included are certificates and awards for Johnson's work as a breeder of Holstein cattle, ephemera, materials relating to his 4-H involvement and biographical material.

Myron A. Johnson, B.S. (1942), Iowa State University in animal husbandry, breeder of Holstein cattle. Johnson was a member of the Holstein-Friesian Association of America and developed the John-Acre prefix. The Iowa Meritorious Sire award was given to one of Johnson's herd in 1948. He later developed three silver medal sires before going to the use of bulls and show cattle at county, district, and state shows.
